Contract Length: 12 months
Pay Rate: £782/day Umbrella
Security Clearance: Active SC clearance + Sole UK National

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Digital Service Owner to lead a critical Engineering, Research, and Data Services portfolio. You will be responsible for managing and improving digital services that enable science and technology teams to undertake complex system design, analysis, high-performance modelling, simulation, and secure software development across all classification levels.

This role offers the opportunity to shape multi-service digital strategies, manage services end-to-end, and collaborate with highly skilled technical and programme teams in an agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Establish and implement a multi-service digital strategy aligned to current and future business needs.

* Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of IT digital services, ensuring operational excellence and continual improvement.

* Act as the escalation point for IT Digital services and ensure quality-of-service standards are maintained.

* Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, influencing strategy adoption.

* Work in an agile manner, managing service change priorities based on evolving requirements.

* Monitor and report on service performance, supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Requirements

* Proven experience developing IT digital service strategies that meet business needs.

* Strong strategic and operational mindset with experience translating requirements into actionable services.

* Track record of leading multiple IT digital services through their lifecycle, from inception to decommissioning.

* Experience delivering IT digital services using internal, contractor, and third-party models.

* Skilled in negotiating SLAs and ensuring high-performing teams.

* Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

* Ability to manage conflicting priorities while adapting to changing requirements.

* Experience creating digital roadmaps and delivering business value.

* ITIL v3 certification (or equivalent experience).

* Agile working knowledge (e.g., PMI-Agile Certified Practitioner, Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) or equivalent).
