Senior EC&I Engineer
Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for Senior EC&I Engineer roles on a contract basis, based in Cumbria or Warrington. Key Responsibilities Respond to and resolve technical queries from suppliers and clients in a timely and structured manner Support the Contract Engineering Lead throughout design and procurement phases Monitor equipment manufacturing, testing, and delivery through to site installation Review supplier documentation, technical submissions, and surveillance reports to required standards Identify and manage engineering risks, opportunities, and design changes Coordinate interface management across multidisciplinary engineering teams Assess and validate engineering modification requests for accuracy, compliance, and necessity Candidate Profile Essential Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering Experience in instrumentation design, procurement, testing, or installation Strong capability in reviewing technical documentation and following up with suppliers Knowledge of British and/or EU electrical standards Background in heavy industry environments such as nuclear, power generation, or oil & gas Understanding of process instrumentation systems and their integration within complex facilities
