Senior Electrical Engineer

Our client is a long established engineering and design consultancy and they are seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their Building Services team. This permanent role is based in London or Sunbury on Thames and offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of commercial and mixed use projects while contributing to sustainable and low carbon design solutions Why Join This Team? - Employee owned consultancy that prioritises people, collaboration and long term stability - Involvement in diverse and technically interesting projects across London and the UK - Clear commitment to sustainability, energy efficiency and net zero targets - Structured support for professional development, training and chartership pathways - Competitive salary, hybrid working and a comprehensive benefits package Key Responsibilities - Prepare electrical designs, calculations, specifications and tender documentation - Deliver projects from Stage 2 through to Stage 6 in line with programme and quality standards - Undertake site surveys, inspections and attend project and client meetings - Review contractor designs, technical submissions and value engineering proposals - Coordinate closely with other engineering disciplines and specialists - Support project financial control where appropriate - Provide guidance and mentoring to junior engineers What They're Looking For - At least five years experience in electrical building services design within a consultancy environment - In depth knowledge of UK standards and regulations including BS7671 and BS5839 - Confident use of AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Dialux, Relux and Amtech - Experience delivering projects within commercial, mixed use, retail or industrial sectors - A collaborative communicator who is comfortable working directly with clients - A relevant qualification such as HNC or equivalent, with a proactive and organised approach If you are seeking a role where your expertise is valued and you can continue to develop within a supportive and inclusive environment, this is an excellent opportunity to take the next step in your career.
