No on-callWe are delighted to be supporting a leading manufacturing business in Diss in their search for a Senior Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their day-shift engineering team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Electrical Maintenance Engineer who enjoys fault finding, solving complex technical problems, and being the engineer that others turn to when they get stuck.

The successful Senior Electrical Maintenance Engineer will play a key role within the team, acting as an escalation point for more complex electrical faults while supporting reliability improvements across a busy manufacturing site.

The RoleAs a Senior Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will spend the majority of your time working hands-on with production machinery, supporting electrical fault finding, breakdown resolution, and equipment reliability.

Whilst this is not a PLC programming role, the successful candidate will be comfortable using PLCs and HMIs as part of the fault-finding process and will be able to diagnose issues across automated machinery and control systems.

You will also support small improvement projects and help drive reliability and continuous improvement initiatives across site.

Key Responsibilities
Electrical fault finding on manufacturing machinery
Supporting breakdown and reactive maintenance activities
Acting as an escalation point for more complex technical faults
Diagnosing faults using PLCs and HMIs
Working on motors, drives, inverters, sensors, and control systems
Reading and fault-finding from electrical schematics and drawings
Supporting planned maintenance activities
Assisting with machinery upgrades and improvement projects
Supporting other engineers with technical guidance when requiredExperience RequiredTo be successful in this Senior Electrical Maintenance Engineer position, you will ideally have:

A strong background in electrical maintenance within manufacturing
Experience fault finding on production or automated machinery
Confidence reading electrical drawings and schematics
Experience using PLCs and HMIs for troubleshooting and diagnostics
Knowledge of motors, drives, inverters, contactors, relays, and control circuits
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
The ability to work independently and take ownership of issuesWhat's On Offer?
