Senior Estimator – Roofing (Refurbishment Focus) Location: Milton Keynes Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 + Pension An established roofing contractor is looking for a Senior Estimator with detailed knowledge of pitched and flat roofing systems to support a growing refurbishment division. Key Responsibilities: Produce accurate tenders for pitched and flat roofing refurbishment works Complete take-offs and material schedules (tiles, slates, membranes, insulation, associated works) Review drawings and specifications in detail Conduct site surveys Negotiate supplier and manufacturer rates Follow up and convert tenders Essential Criteria: 5+ years estimating within roofing Strong technical understanding of both pitched and flat roofing systems Experience pricing refurbishment works Commercially astute with strong supplier negotiation capability Desirable: Solar estimating experience Framework/CIF funding knowledge Estimating software proficiency This role requires sector-specific roofing experience — general construction estimators will not be suitable
