Facilities Maintenance Manager – Glasgow

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Management

* Lead, motivate, and manage a team of maintenance technicians to ensure high performance and accountability.

* Provide ongoing coaching, training, and performance feedback to support team development.

* Act as the primary point of contact for the maintenance team, resolving operational issues promptly.

Maintenance Operations

* Plan, schedule, and prioritise workloads to ensure efficient day-to-day maintenance operations.

* Oversee both planned and reactive maintenance activities, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

* Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely, on time, and in line with required standards and specifications.

Health & Safety

* Promote and maintain a strong health and safety culture across all maintenance activities.

* Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Performance & Continuous Improvement

* Monitor team and operational performance, identifying opportunities to improve productivity and quality.

* Implement improvements to processes, systems, and workflows to enhance efficiency and service delivery.

Coordination & Communication

* Coordinate maintenance activities across departments to minimise downtime and operational impact.

* Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding maintenance schedules, issues, and progress.

Reporting & Documentation

* Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and compliance documentation.

* Produce regular reports on performance, maintenance metrics, and improvement initiatives
