The role
Orbit are delighted to be recruiting for a Senior Financial Planning Analyst to join the team in providing excellent, accurate and relevant financial information to customers, with
key focus on financial planning. You will work to deliver key projects in line with our 2030 strategy, and line manage one Accounting Technician in your role. This is an agile working role with roughly once per week working from our Garden Court, Coventry office (subject to business need).
This role is part of Finance where you'll help us to invest more back into communities and design for strength.
What you'll achieve
Responsible for the development and maintenance of the Orbit Group financial planning models for use by the Head of Financial Planning & Corporate Reporting in Orbit’s planning processes.
Support the creation of annual budget and 30-year financial plan inclusive of, stress testing and mitigation analysis with the support of the Head of Financial Planning & Corporate reporting.
Responsible for the creation of financial scenario modelling as and when requested by the Head of Financial Planning & Corporate Reporting.
Support in the group annual financial forecast return (FFR) submission for theRegulator of Social Housing.
Drive the co-ordination of Orbit Groups annual budget process.
Provide timely and accurate financial analysis and support to Business Stakeholders including the Executive Team & Leadership members for corporate business areas.
Deputising for Head of Financial Planning & Corporate Reporting at internal and external meetings as required.What you'll bring
Essential skills
Qualified (ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA/ICAEW/equivalent).
Proven experience in a financial position, including significant experience of financial planning activity.
Strong IT skills including good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and high level Excel skills.
Experience of BRIXX.
Investment Appraisal/Financial modelling of commercial decisions.
Technical and professional skills.
Strong financial analysis and modelling skills.
Experience of the preparation of long term financial plans.
Demonstrable evidence of undertaking financial evaluations and creating financial models.
