Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Role: Senior Geotechnical Engineer Type: Permanent Location: London Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 Overview An opportunity for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to take on a hands-on role within a specialist consultancy delivering complex maritime and coastal infrastructure projects. Work includes port developments, waterfront regeneration, flood defence schemes, and asset upgrades. Key Responsibilities Lead geotechnical design from feasibility through to construction Specify and interpret ground investigations Design retaining structures, slopes, revetments, and earthworks Deliver solutions involving piled foundations and ground improvement Undertake analysis using Plaxis 2D, WALLAP and Oasys Liaise with clients and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams Mentor junior engineers and support project delivery Contribute to tenders and proposals Requirements Master's in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering Chartered or working towards chartership Proven geotechnical design experience Familiar with industry-standard analysis software Strong communication and organisational skills Practical, problem-solving approach Package £45,000 - £50,000 salary Flexible/hybrid working Pension and core benefits Supportive team environment with clear progression Apply / Enquiries: For this position or other opportunities in civil/structural engineering design, contact Calum French on LinkedIn.
