Senior Geotechnical Engineer 📍 Watford 💰 Up to £50,000 + benefits 🕒 Full-time | Permanent Are you a Geotechnical Engineer ready to step up into a senior role where your expertise is genuinely valued? We’re working with a respected, growing engineering consultancy in Watford that is looking to appoint a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to strengthen their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of projects, influence technical direction, and mentor developing engineers — all within a supportive and ambitious environment. Why This Role? ✔ Lead technically interesting projects across residential, commercial and infrastructure sectors ✔ Take real ownership — from ground investigation design through to final reporting ✔ Work in a collaborative team where your input matters ✔ Clear progression pathway towards Principal level ✔ Support towards Chartership The Opportunity You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality geotechnical solutions, managing site investigations, interpreting data, and providing robust foundation and earthworks recommendations. You’ll also play a key role in: * Designing and overseeing ground investigations * Producing factual and interpretative reports * Foundation design (shallow and piled solutions) * Earthworks specifications and slope stability assessments * Client liaison and technical advisory support * Mentoring and supporting junior engineers This role offers a strong mix of technical delivery, client interaction, and leadership development.
