Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - (Building Services / MEP) Chelmsford, Essex – Hybrid £60k - £70k + Bonus & Benefits Senior Mechanical Design Engineer / Mechanical Design Engineer / Building Services / Consultancy / Construction / MEP This Mechanical Design Engineer role is to join a busy, growing engineering consultancy, where you will be part of a close-knit team of engineers working on a range of sectors including education, retail, MOD and commercial. It’s a team of conscientious engineers who have created a friendly supportive working environment, where you’ll feel at home from day one. Responsibilities * Detailed design drawings with a specialisation in mechanical system design. * Preparing technical specifications and schedules and design development reports. * Taking projects through from inception to completion and handover. * Undertaking survey work. * Production of feasibility reports. * Attend site progress meetings and review installations. * Supporting junior staff. * Maintaining good client relationships. * Liaising closely with other professionals, including structural engineers, architects, surveyors, and contractors. * Advising clients and architects on energy use and conservation in a range of buildings and sites, aiming to minimise the environmental impact and reduce the carbon footprint Qualifications * MEng / BEng in Mechanical Engineering or an accredited building services degree. * You will be a mechanical design engineer with at least 5 years’ experience in building services. * You will have excellent communication skills. * Due to the nature of some the projects, you must be a permanent UK resident
