Senior Mechanical Estimator

Senior Design & Build Mechanical Estimator Hybrid Working Available Salary: £60,000 – £65,000 + Car Allowance + Full Package A well-established, privately owned Mechanical & Electrical contractor with a strong regional presence is seeking a Senior Mechanical Estimator with proven Design & Build experience. This is a key appointment within a profitable and stable business delivering projects across commercial, industrial, education, healthcare and mixed-use sectors. The Role You will lead the mechanical estimating function on D&B projects from tender enquiry through to submission, working closely with internal design teams, suppliers and senior management. Typical project values range from £1m–£10m+. Responsibilities: * Reviewing tender documentation and employer’s requirements * Producing take-offs and detailed cost plans * Liaising with supply chain to obtain competitive quotations * Value engineering and buildability input * Attending tender interviews and client meetings * Supporting handover to operations teams What They’re Looking For * Strong background in Mechanical Building Services estimating * Proven Design & Build experience (not just traditional tenders) * Commercially aware and technically strong * Able to work autonomously and take ownership of bids * Experience using estimating software and Excel at an advanced level You will likely already be operating at Senior Estimator level or be a strong Mechanical Estimator ready to step up.
