I'm currently working on behalf of a highly regarded, independent planning consultancy to appoint a Senior Town Planner for their growing London team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced planner to step into a pivotal role within a well-established practice known for delivering high-profile, design-led developments across the UK.
The Opportunity
You'll be joining a collaborative and commercially astute team advising on a diverse portfolio of projects, including complex urban regeneration schemes, strategic residential developments, and mixed-use city centre projects. The role offers genuine responsibility, client exposure, and a clear pathway for career progression.
Key Responsibilities
Managing planning applications and appeals across a varied project portfolio
Providing strategic planning advice to a range of private sector clients
Leading on site appraisals, planning strategies, and development feasibility work
Preparing high-quality reports, statements, and submissions
Engaging with local authorities, stakeholders, and consultants
Supporting junior team members and contributing to business development
About You
MRTPI qualified (or working towards chartership with relevant experience)
Strong experience within a consultancy or private sector environment
Proven track record managing planning applications and client relationships
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Commercial awareness and a proactive, solution-focused mindset
Experience working on London-based projects is highly desirable
