We are representing an industry leading consultancy, who are looking to grow their team in central Manchester. The ideal candidate will be a Principal or Senior Structural/Civil Engineer to assist in delivering high-quality projects across the UK. This is a technical leadership role where you’ll take ownership of structural and civil design, lead projects from concept through construction, and act as the main C&S consultant for clients and design teams. You’ll manage workloads, mentor junior engineers, oversee quality and QA, and play a key role in project programming, fees, and financial control. You’ll be client-facing, commercially aware, and confident working collaboratively across disciplines, with opportunities to support business growth through repeat work and new client relationships. Key Responsibilities * Lead and deliver Structural/Civil Engineering designs across all project stages * Manage projects, programmes, fees, and budgets * Mentor and supervise graduate and junior engineers * Act as lead C&S consultant and primary client contact * Prepare calculations, reports, specifications, and fee bids * Ensure QA, H&S, and company standards are met * Contribute to business development and client retention About You * Chartered Engineer (ICE or IStructE) or working toward. * Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering * Strong track record in project delivery and technical leadership * Excellent communication and client-facing skills * Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla, TEDDS, and MS Office * Right to work in the UK (driving licence advantageous) Benefits & Rewards * 33 days holiday (including public holidays and the Christmas–New Year closure) * Option to buy up to 1 additional week of annual leave * Long service leave: extra days from years 6–10 * Pension – Employer 5%, Employee 3% minimum * Paid professional membership * Health Cash Plan & EAP * Cycle to Work scheme * Home & Tech purchase scheme * Work from an alternative location (up to 1 week per year, UK or EU) * EV leasing scheme * Enhanced maternity, paternity & family leave * Death in Service cover – 3x salary * 1 paid charitable works day per year
