Apply NowThis leading water sector design-and-build contractor is looking to appoint a Senior Project Manager to deliver a major reservoir infrastructure project in the South West. You will take full ownership for the safe, timely and profitable delivery of large water infrastructure as part of AMP8 which will see construction continue into AMP 9 with an operational target of 2035.
As Senior Project Manager you will:
Lead the overall direction, coordination and control of projects from conception through to handover, ensuring they are delivered to time, cost and quality targets.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners and suppliers, protecting and enhancing the company’s reputation on framework projects.
* Ensure robust project planning, including approval and delivery of Project Execution Plans, construction methodologies and method statements.
* Oversee commercial performance including cost control, forecasting, change management and management.
* Manage resources to ensure sufficient, competent personnel are in place and clear on their responsibilities.
* Drive risk and opportunity management, non-conformance resolution and continuous improvement across your portfolio.
* Support and coach multi-disciplinary teams, providing clear leadership and feedback to achieve high performance.
What you need:
Proven senior project management experience delivering multi-disciplinary design and construct projects ideally within tunnelling and major water process infrastructure sector.
Degree (or equivalent) in a construction, commercial or engineering discipline and a recognised project management qualification (e.g. PMQ or equivalent).
Strong working knowledge of construction contracts and CDM/health & safety legislation.
Track record of leading teams to deliver complex projects, with advanced skills in contract management, planning, budgeting, risk and stakeholder management.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with clients, stakeholders and end users.
