Senior Quantity Surveyor

A leading Tier One main contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team on a landmark, multi-phase development in Exeter. This is a large-scale, high-rise scheme with significant MEP value and a complex delivery programme. The role offers flexibility, with 2–3 days on site and the remainder remote or from a regional office. The Project * Major flagship development * High-rise RC frame construction * Significant MEP packages * Phased delivery programme * Long-term secured work The Role Reporting to the Commercial Lead, you will take responsibility for key subcontract packages and play a central role in the commercial delivery of the scheme. Responsibilities include: * Managing high-value subcontract packages from procurement through to final account * Cost reporting and forecasting * Valuations and payment applications * Variations and change management * Risk management and commercial input * Liaising closely with project and client teams The Candidate * Proven experience as a Senior QS on large-scale projects * Background in high-rise residential, hotel, mixed-use or similar multi-unit developments * Strong NEC and/or JCT contract knowledge * Experience operating within a Tier One or major contractor environment * Commercially confident and capable of managing complex packages independently The Offer * £70k–£80k DOE * Car allowance * Bonus * Pension & benefits * Flexible / hybrid working * Long-term pipeline within a major contractor This is a rare opportunity to join a flagship development offering scale, complexity and long-term progression.
