Senior Quantity Surveyor / Quantity Surveyor North West £55,000 – £70,000 + Package | Energy Retrofit & Housing Projects A growing specialist contractor delivering large-scale energy efficiency and housing retrofit programmes is looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor or experienced Quantity Surveyor to strengthen its commercial team. Working across projects for local authorities and housing providers, the business delivers programmes focused on improving energy performance in residential properties, including insulation upgrades, renewable technologies and low-carbon heating solutions. This role offers the opportunity to take commercial ownership of projects while working closely with operational teams to ensure projects are delivered successfully. Key Responsibilities Commercial management of housing retrofit and refurbishment projects Preparing and managing valuations, variations, cost reporting and final accounts Managing subcontractor procurement and subcontract accounts Working closely with delivery teams to monitor costs and commercial performance Identifying commercial risks and opportunities across projects Supporting senior leadership with commercial reporting and project performance Requirements Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within construction or refurbishment Strong commercial awareness and understanding of cost control and contract administration Experience within social housing, refurbishment, retrofit or energy improvement works is beneficial Ability to manage projects and communicate effectively with delivery teams and clients What’s On Offer £55,000 – £70,000 salary depending on experience 1–2 days on site, with the remainder office based Long-term pipeline of housing and energy retrofit projects Opportunity to work within a growing sector focused on sustainability and energy efficiency Supportive leadership team and clear progression opportunities Apply If you’re interested in this opportunity, please apply with a copy of your CV or get in touch with our Commercial Specialist, Jane Fairhurst
