Apply NowAbatec is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a Tier 1 contractor on a Utilities Framework project in Dorset on a freelance basis.
This role requires a strong background in NEC contracts, with responsibility for subcontractor management, applications, and payments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain accurate cost records, ensuring effective cost control and value reconciliation
* Report variances against performance, compliance, and financial targets
* Review existing procedures and support the implementation of improved processes
* Manage and agree final accounts
* Oversee subcontractor accounts, applications, and payments
Requirements:
* Proven experience working for a Civil Engineering contractor
* Strong knowledge and practical experience with NEC forms of contract
* Degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying
* Ability to manage multiple commercial aspects of a project independently
