Job Title: Senior Residential Support Worker Location: Bradford, UK Setting: 3 Bed Children’s Residential Home (EBD) Salary: £15.60 per hour + £50 per sleep-in Shift Pattern: 2 on / 4 off (including sleep-ins) Contract: Full-time / Part-time available About the Role We are looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Residential Support Worker to join a small, supportive team within a 3-bed children’s home in Bradford. The home supports young people aged 15–17 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), presenting a range of complex behaviours. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing service that has been open since January 2024 and has already achieved a “Good” Ofsted rating. You will play a key role in leading shifts, supporting staff, and ensuring the highest standards of care are consistently delivered. Key Responsibilities * Lead shifts and support the day-to-day running of the home * Deliver high-quality, child-centred care to young people * Act as a role model and provide guidance to junior staff * Support the development and implementation of care plans and risk assessments * Manage and respond to challenging behaviours in line with policies and procedures * Ensure safeguarding and health & safety standards are maintained at all times * Build positive relationships with young people to support their emotional and social development * Work in partnership with external agencies, families, and professionals * Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation * Support young people in developing independence and life skills * Transport young people to school, appointments, and activities Requirements * Previous experience in residential childcare, ideally within an EBD setting * Experience in a senior role or confident stepping up into a leadership position * Strong understanding of safeguarding, behaviour management, and risk assessment * Ability to lead shifts and support a team effectively * Full UK driving licence (essential) * Resilient, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment * Flexible to work shifts, including sleep-ins What’s on Offer * £15.60 per hour * £50 per sleep-in * 2 on / 4 off shift pattern (excellent work-life balance) * Full-time and part-time opportunities available * Ongoing training and development * Supportive management and team environment * Opportunity to be part of a growing and developing service Apply Now If you are an experienced residential childcare professional looking to take the next step in your career, we’d love to hear from you.
