Senior Structural Engineer - Bangor (North Wales) Join a growing consultancy shaping homes and bespoke developments across the region Our client is a friendly, forward-thinking structural engineering consultancy based in Bangor, North Wales, and they are looking for an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join the team. If you enjoy working closely with clients, solving real-world design challenges, and seeing your ideas come to life on site, this role offers the chance to take ownership of diverse and rewarding projects. The Role As a Senior Structural Engineer, you'll lead and deliver a wide range of projects including domestic alterations, home extensions, and bespoke commercial developments. You will play a key role in technical design, client relationships, and mentoring junior engineers within the practice. Key Responsibilities for this Senior Structural Engineer role include: Lead structural design and analysis across residential and commercial projects Produce structural calculations, drawings, and reports Manage projects from concept through to construction Liaise with architects, contractors, and clients Conduct site visits and provide practical engineering solutions Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical development within the teamProject Types Domestic alterations and structural modifications Residential extensions and refurbishments New-build homes and bespoke residential schemes Small-to-medium commercial and mixed-use developmentsAbout You Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering Chartered or working towards chartership (ICE or IStructE) Strong experience in residential structural engineering Confident producing calculations and technical reports Familiarity with common materials including steel, timber, masonry, and reinforced concrete Strong communication skills and ability to manage client relationshipsWhat We Offer Competitive salary based on experience Flexible working options Opportunity to work on varied and interesting projects Support towards chartership and professional development A supportive, collaborative consultancy environmentLocation This role is based in Bangor, North Wales, with projects across North Wales and surrounding areas.
