Our client, a leading consultancy in the engineering sector, is currently seeking a Senior/Principal Geotechnical Engineer to join their team. This permanent role offers a fantastic opportunity for a Chartered Geotechnical Engineer or a Civil Engineer with significant geotechnical experience to take technical responsibility for the delivery of geotechnical projects, whilst reporting directly to senior management. This position is ideal for an experienced Geotechnical or Civil Engineer, capable of managing geotechnical assessments and designs, and aspiring to further professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

Taking technical responsibility for the delivery of geotechnical projects
Managing and supervising ground investigations
Developing ground models and geotechnical site characterisations
Performing geotechnical analysis and numerical modelling
Designing geotechnical structures including foundations and retaining walls
Conducting slope stability assessments and rockfall hazard analyses
Ensuring compliance with Eurocodes and British Standards
Reporting on project progress to senior management

Job Requirements:

Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Geology, Geophysics, or Civil Engineering with a geotechnical specialism (or a related discipline)
Experience in geotechnical design
Seismic/earthquake design experience
Chartered member of an appropriate professional institution
Extensive experience in managing and supervising ground investigations
Proficiency in geotechnical analysis and numerical modelling, with associated interpretation and reporting
Experience in designing geotechnical structures
Expertise in slope stability assessments and rockfall hazard analysis
Excellent knowledge of Eurocodes and British Standards
EU or UK citizenship (or the ability to work within Gibraltar without a visa)
