Job Title: Service Operations Manager

Location: London
Salary: £55,000 – £60,000 basic (DOE)
Package: £5,000 car allowance + private medical + life assurance

Working Hours: 36.5 hours per week

Overview - Service Operations Manager

A highly established and respected provider of fire protection and security solutions is seeking a Service Operations Manager to lead its Fire Detection service delivery team.

With a long-standing reputation in the industry and a strong project and service delivery culture, the business delivers end-to-end solutions across fire detection, suppression, sprinkler, and integrated security systems.

This is a key leadership role, responsible for ensuring service excellence, meeting client SLAs, and driving operational efficiency within a growing division.

The Role - Service Operations Manager

As Service Operations Manager, you will take ownership of the Fire Detection service division, leading teams, improving processes, and ensuring high-quality service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, recruit, develop, and line manage the engineering team
Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams
Drive process improvements and operational efficiency
Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards (including LPS requirements)
Manage materials, equipment, and departmental budgets
Maintain quality standards across engineers and subcontractors
Attend and contribute to senior management meetings
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
Monitor and manage subcontractor performance and compliance

Requirements - Service Operations Manager

Proven experience in a senior service delivery role within the Fire & Security industry
Strong knowledge of fire detection systems
Detailed understanding of LPS standards
Experience leading, managing, and developing teams
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and make decisions confidently
Strong organisational skills with experience delivering against KPIs and SLAs
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Track record of driving process and service improvements
