Job Title: Sheet Metal Inspector
Location: Ferndown
Salary: £28,000 – £32,000

As a Sheet Metal Inspector, you’ll be responsible for ensuring all sheet metal components meet required specifications before progressing through production. This Sheet Metal Inspector position would suit someone who is confident interpreting engineering drawings and has a solid background in inspection within a fabrication setting. You’ll be working closely with production teams, playing a key role in maintaining high standards across the shop floor.

Key responsibilities:

Inspect sheet metal parts in line with engineering drawings and specifications
Verify bend allowances and ensure accuracy throughout fabrication
Use a range of measuring equipment to check tolerances and dimensions
Identify and report non-conformances
Support continuous improvement and quality processesEssential skills:

Experience working as a Sheet Metal Inspector or in a similar inspection role
Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
Competent using measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
High attention to detail and a structured approachDesirable experience:

Understanding of bend allowance calculations and development
Background in precision engineering or manufacturingBenefits:
