SHEQ Advisor - Danny Sullivan Group (Client Role) Greater Manchester | Full Time Danny Sullivan Group is currently supporting a key civil engineering client in the appointment of an experienced SHEQ Advisor to support the delivery of infrastructure and utilities projects across the Greater Manchester region. This is a site-focused role, working closely with operational teams to ensure high standards of health, safety, environmental and quality compliance are consistently achieved across live projects. Role Overview As a SHEQ Advisor, you will play a critical role in driving compliance, improving standards, and embedding a positive SHEQ culture across multiple workstreams. You will act as a key interface between site teams, management, clients and the supply chain to ensure all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with regulatory and company requirements. Key Responsibilities Provide day-to-day SHEQ support and guidance to site teams across multiple civil engineering projects Conduct regular site inspections, audits and assurance checks to ensure compliance with company procedures and relevant legislation Carry out internal audits in line with ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) Support the implementation and ongoing development of the HSQE Management System Assist in the preparation, review and implementation of RAMS, ITPs and quality documentation Identify non-conformances, unsafe practices and environmental risks, ensuring corrective and preventative actions are implemented Lead or support incident investigations, ensuring root cause analysis and lessons learned are captured and communicated Promote a strong behavioural safety culture and drive continuous improvement initiatives across projects Liaise with clients, regulators and supply chain partners on SHEQ matters Deliver toolbox talks, briefings and training where required Support project teams in achieving "right first time" delivery and quality assurance standards Requirements Proven experience in a SHEQ Advisor / Quality / HSE role within civil engineering, utilities or infrastructure sectors Strong working knowledge of ISO management systems (9001, 14001, 45001) ISO 9001 Internal Auditor (essential) NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent (preferred) Experience working on highways, utilities, rail or heavy civils projects Understanding of National Highways Sector Schemes (desirable) Strong communication, reporting and stakeholder engagement skills Ability to influence site teams and drive behavioural change Proactive, hands-on approach with strong attention to detail Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to site What's on Offer Opportunity to work with a leading civil engineering contractor on secured long-term frameworks Exposure to a range of infrastructure and utilities projects Supportive team environment with clear career progression opportunities Ongoing professional development and training Competitive salary and benefits package About the Opportunity This role offers the chance to play a key part in improving SHEQ performance across critical infrastructure projects.
