We're recruiting on behalf of a leading Facilities Management provider for a Shift Building Services Engineer to join a flagship commercial estate in Central London.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Building Services Engineer looking to join a highly skilled engineering team responsible for maintaining five high-profile commercial buildings.

Working on a continental shift pattern, you'll play a vital role in ensuring building services remain operational, delivering both planned preventative maintenance and rapid response to reactive issues across the estate.

The Role

As a Shift Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining the mechanical and associated building services within a prestigous commercial portfolio. Working alongside a dedicated engineering team, you'll ensure the estate operates safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys fault finding, problem solving and working within a fast-paced commercial environment where no two shifts are the same.

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across five commercial buildings.

* Diagnose and repair faults on mechanical building services systems.

* Monitor plant performance and respond quickly to building alarms.

* Complete routine inspections and statutory compliance checks.

* Support minor mechanical installations and repairs.

* Ensure all maintenance records and documentation are completed accurately.

* Work safely in line with Permit to Work and Safe Systems of Work procedures.

* Liaise with subcontractors and specialist contractors where required.

* Provide first-class service to site stakeholders and occupiers.

* Support continuous improvement initiatives across the estate.

What We're Looking For

* Previous experience as a Building Services Engineer within commercial properties.

* Strong mechanical bias with experience maintaining HVAC and mechanical plant.

* Experience carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance.

* NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering on similar.
