Site Agent - Borders of Scotland

Site Agent – Scottish Borders (Freelance) Boyd Recruitment is seeking an experienced Site Agent to join a freelance project across the Scottish Borders. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a civil engineering project while leading a skilled site team. The Role As Site Agent, you will: * Lead and manage the site team to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery * Allocate resources effectively and ensure each team member has the right skills and support * Identify opportunities for improvement and implement solutions * Monitor and analyse fully resourced programmes to meet project targets * Manage subcontractors and build strong collaborative relationships * Produce operational target programmes aligned with the overall construction programme * Ensure all works meet quality standards and maintain rigorous QA control * Uphold health & safety standards across the site * Communicate effectively and maintain excellent organisation throughout the project Requirements * HND or BSc in Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience * Proven experience on water or heavy civils projects * Strong leadership, planning, and stakeholder management skills * Ability to mentor junior team members and drive high-performance delivery This is a freelance assignment based in the Scottish Borders, with an immediate start.
