Site Agent
Position: Site Agent Region: Yorkshire & Humber Salary: £55,000 – £60,000 + £7,300 Car Allowance + Package Start: ASAP I have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Agent to join a well-established regional contractor delivering a diverse portfolio of civil engineering and infrastructure projects valued between £500k and £12m across Yorkshire. • Projects typically include: • Highways and infrastructure schemes • Flood defense works • Bridges and structural works • Retaining walls • General civil engineering projects You’ll play a key role in delivering projects safely, on programme and within budget while leading and developing site teams. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Lead by example in Health, Safety and Environmental standards • Carry out site inductions and toolbox talk briefings (TBTs) • Develop and review RAMS, including approval of subcontractor RAMS • Produce Construction Phase Plans and manage site documentation • Act as Temporary Works Coordinator where required • Develop weekly programmes and assist with project planning and monthly updates • Monitor project progress and ensure key programme milestones are achieved • Produce daily, weekly and monthly progress reports • Manage information flow, technical queries and document control systems • Chair internal site meetings and client progress meetings • Mentor and support engineers and junior members of the team • Maintain accurate records of measurement for direct and subcontract works • Support the commercial team with variations, quotations and procurement schedules • Identify risks and opportunities and report to senior management • Ensure quality assurance procedures are followed in line with ISO 9001, 14001 and 18001 • Compile documentation for project handover and H&S files REQUIREMENTS: • Proven experience working as a Site Agent or Senior Engineer within civil engineering • Experience delivering infrastructure or heavy civils projects • Strong understanding of engineering principles and site delivery • Experience working under NEC and/or JCT contracts • Knowledge of programme planning and reporting processes • Ability to manage subcontractors and site teams effectively • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think innovatively • Confident communicator able to liaise with clients, engineers and commercial teams PACKAGE • £55,000 – £60,000 salary • £7,300 car allowance • 27 days annual leave + bank holidays • 3% pension contribution • Long-term career development with a respected regional contractor • Exposure to a varied portfolio of civil engineering projects Apply now with an up to date CV or contact Dan Standish at Kenton Black (Leeds Office) for more information
