Candidate required: Site Agent Job Type: Permanent Start date: ASAP Industry: Construction Professionals South Location: Berkshire, Kent, Surry   The role & about the client: ITS Building People are recruiting on behalf of a Tier 1 contractor for an experienced Site Agent to join a high-profile civils' project. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to play a key leadership role in one of the most significant and complex construction projects in the sector. As a Site Agent, you will be responsible for driving the successful delivery of the project, ensuring it is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, working closely with stakeholders to manage the day-to-day site operations and overcome technical challenges.   Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Oversee and manage the construction phase of a large-scale heavy civil's project. Develop and implement detailed construction plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies. Lead site teams, including subcontractors and direct labour, to ensure efficient and safe delivery. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies. Manage budgets and costs, ensuring financial performance targets are met. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project partners. Drive a culture of excellence and continuous improvement across the site.   The ideal candidate will have/be: Proven experience as a Site Agent on complex, high-value projects (preferably within defence, infrastructure, or similar secure environments). Strong understanding of construction methodologies, contracts (e.g., NEC), and project controls. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct teams. Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, and risk effectively. Relevant qualifications in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
