To assist in the maintenance – planned, preventative and breakdown-- of all machinery and equipment at Doves Farm Foods to ensure their smooth and efficient operation. Huge potential for progression with the business for the right applicant.
REPORTING TO Chief Engineer – Production Manager
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
* To attend all mechanical breakdowns, and assist in machinery adjustments
* Diagnosing and repairing faults
* Maintain machinery maintenance programmes and records
* Assist in maintaining an inventory of spare parts
* Keep workshop in clean & tidy condition and control tools on site
* Maintain and improve building fabric
* Provide holiday/sickness cover
* Deputise for Chief Engineer and assist with clerical matters as required
* Complete all documentation relevant to position
* Liaising with Managers to help implementing and enforcing company policies and procedures.
* Other duties as required
* Compliance with relevant UK law
WORK PATTERN: Night shift / 10pm - 6am
Wages paid on 37.5 hour week
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
* Sound educational background
* Mechanical and engineering
* Customer first attitude
* Good communicator
* PC & analytical skills
* Personable and positive personality
* Professional manner
DESIRABLE SKILLS
* City & Guilds/NVQ/HND/Degree
* Welding and Fabrication work
* Basic electrical knowledge
* Communicates with all levels of staff
* Team Player
* Detail orientated
