Apply NowCarmichael UK is working with a leading Tier 1 contractor to recruit an experienced Site Engineer for a major infrastructure project based in Peterhead.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Engineer with a highways or major infrastructure background to join a busy project team supporting the delivery of key civil engineering works.
The Role
As Site Engineer, you will support the site team with setting out, quality assurance, and day-to-day coordination of works, ensuring activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Setting out and monitoring earthworks and civil engineering activities
Carrying out as-built surveys and maintaining accurate records
Producing site diaries and engineering documentation
Assisting with the preparation and updating of Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
Supporting quality control and ensuring works comply with project specifications
Coordinating site activities and working closely with supervisors and subcontractors
Ensuring all engineering records and documentation are maintained to a high standard
Requirements
HNC or above in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
Previous experience as a Site Engineer on highways or major infrastructure projects
Experience working on large-scale projects
EUSR CAT 1 and CAT 2 training
Strong experience in earthworks setting out, as-built surveys, and site documentation
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Right to work in the UK
