We are currently looking for an experienced Site Manager to join a long-term groundworks scheme in Bishops Stortford.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Manager with a strong groundworks and civils background looking for secure, long-term work, with approximately 2–3 years of work available on the project.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the works on site, ensuring operations are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with the agreed programme and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Managing the day-to-day site operations
* Supervising site teams and subcontractors
* Coordinating groundworks and civils activities
* Ensuring works are delivered to programme and specification
* Maintaining high standards of health & safety and quality
* Liaising with Project Managers, engineers and subcontractors
* Monitoring progress and reporting back to the project team
* Managing site paperwork, RAMS and daily records
* Ensuring the site is well organised and running efficiently
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Site Manager
* Strong groundworks/civils background
* Previous experience working for a groundworks or civil engineering contractor is highly desirable
* Strong understanding of site health & safety and construction processes
* Ability to manage site teams and subcontractors effectively
* SMSTS
* CSCS
* First Aid
* Strong communication and organisational skills
