Location: Carlisle
Start Date: 21st September 2026
Duration: 4–5 Weeks
Rate: £300 per day
We are currently looking for an experienced Site Manager with a strong groundworks/civils background to oversee a project in Carlisle.
The position is due to start on 21st September and will run for approximately 4–5 weeks.
Responsibilities
* Managing day-to-day site operations and groundworks activities
* Coordinating subcontractors and site operatives
* Ensuring works are completed safely, on time and to the required standard
* Monitoring progress against the programme
* Conducting site inductions and toolbox talks
* Ensuring health & safety procedures are followed
* Liaising with contractors, clients and other site personnel
* Maintaining site records and completing relevant paperwork
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Site Manager
* Strong groundworks/civils background
* Valid SMSTS
* Valid First Aid
* CSCS card
* Good knowledge of health & safety procedures
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Available to start 21st September
