Site Supervisor
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to support the delivery of subcontract works on a long-term bridge construction project. This role will focus on supervising site activities, ensuring works are carried out safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards, with a strong emphasis on formwork and reinforced concrete (RC) operations.
You will play a key role in coordinating the workforce, monitoring progress, and maintaining high standards across all site activities.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise day-to-day site activities on bridge construction works.
Monitor subcontractors and operatives to ensure work is carried out safely and in accordance with specifications.
Oversee formwork and reinforced concrete works, ensuring correct installation and quality standards are met.
Assist in implementing method statements, risk assessments, and permits to work.
Conduct regular site inspections and report any issues or non-conformances.
Support the Site Manager in tracking progress against programme.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Maintain site records including daily logs, labour returns, and progress updates.
Deliver toolbox talks and support site inductions.
Liaise with engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth site operations.
Key Requirements
Essential
Proven experience as a Site Supervisor within civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
Experience working on bridge construction or structural works.
Strong knowledge of formwork and reinforced concrete (RC) activities.
Good understanding of construction sequencing and site operations.
Knowledge of health & safety regulations and site compliance requirements.
Ability to supervise teams and coordinate subcontractors effectively.
SSSTS certification.
CSCS card.
Desirable
Temporary Works Supervisor certification.
First Aid at Work qualification.
Experience on long-term infrastructure or highways projects.
Familiarity with quality inspections and ITPs
