£35,000 - £38,000 per annum DOE

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fun and collaborative team who are passionate about delivering results. This is a leadership-focused social media position for someone ready to take ownership of both people and performance.

You’ll be responsible for driving the direction of social media activity across a varied client portfolio while managing and developing a small team. This role is as much about leadership and decision-making as it is about campaign delivery — ideal for someone who enjoys taking accountability, shaping strategy, and elevating team output.

Key Responsibilities:

Leading the Function

* Take full ownership of social media delivery across multiple client accounts

* Define best practices, processes, and standards across the social team

* Act as the go-to expert for all things social, internally and externally

Managing & Developing People

* Lead, coach, and develop a team of 2, supporting both performance and progression

* Create structure, set expectations, and drive accountability within the team

* Encourage a high-performance culture with a focus on quality and continuous improvement

Driving Client Success

* Build strong, credible relationships with clients as a trusted advisor

* Lead conversations around strategy, performance, and growth opportunities

* Ensure campaigns deliver against commercial objectives, not just engagement metrics

Strategy & Execution

* Shape and oversee social strategies across key platforms

* Ensure content is purposeful, on-brand, and aligned with wider marketing activity

* Balance hands-on involvement with strategic oversight where needed

Performance & Optimisation

* Own reporting, insights, and performance reviews

* Use data to inform decisions and continually refine approach

* Identify opportunities to improve results and scale successful activity

Experience and Skills Requirements:

* Strong experience in social media, ideally within a fast-paced or agency environment

* Proven ability to manage or lead a team — this is essential

* Confident decision-maker who can take ownership and drive outcomes

* Commercially aware, with a focus on delivering measurable impact

* Excellent communicator, comfortable managing stakeholders at all levels

* A balance of creativity and analytical thinking

* Hands-on knowledge of key social platforms and tools

Desirable

* Experience working across multiple brands or industries

* Exposure to integrated campaigns with wider marketing teams

* Formal marketing or digital qualifications
