Social Media Officer
Key Responsibilities
* Create, schedule and publish engaging content across all social media platforms, ensuring accuracy, accessibility and brand consistency.
* Produce high-quality graphics, short-form videos, animations and other multimedia content tailored to different audiences and platforms.
* Monitor social media channels, responding to comments and messages whilst escalating issues where appropriate.
* Work collaboratively with communications teams across constituent councils and partner organisations to deliver coordinated messaging.
* Support statutory consultations by producing clear, accessible and engaging digital content.
* Monitor social media performance using analytics tools and make recommendations to improve engagement and reach.
* Assist with digital marketing campaigns, including paid social media activity.
* Provide rapid social media support during breaking news, incidents and reputational issues.
About You
* Previous experience managing or delivering social media content within a professional or public-facing organisation.
* Excellent understanding of social media platforms, current trends, algorithms and audience engagement.
* Experience creating engaging digital content including graphics, short-form video and multimedia assets.
* Strong copywriting skills with the ability to tailor content for different audiences.
