About the Role: Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and passionate Sociology Teacher to join a fantastic secondary school in the Liverpool area starting in April 2026. As one of the fastest growing agencies in the UK, we are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic educator. A successful applicant will have a teaching qualification with QTS. Sociology Teacher Location: Liverpool, L5 Start Date: April 2026 Contract Type: Temporary, 2 months Working Hours: Full time, 8:00am - 4.00pm Pay: Paid to scale Key Responsibilities: Contribute to developing new teaching strategies and updating schemes of work to align with examination board specifications. Create and deliver high-quality sociology lessons that encourage curiosity, analytical skills, and understanding of sociological theories and methods. Establish an inclusive learning environment that encourages critical thinking, and the application of sociology to real-world scenarios. Be aware of pupils' capabilities and their prior knowledge of the subject, and adapt teaching around this. Differentiate teaching methods for students' individual needs.Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with related degree Proven experience teaching in a UK secondary school. Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable, but not essential as training can be provided). Right to Work in the UK. Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or willingness to apply for a new one.
