Solutions Consultant

Futures are currently looking for a Bids and Tenders focused Engineer with a background in electronics design to work as a Solutions Consultant. You will use your Bids and Tenders experience, electronic engineering qualification, good commercial ability and excellent written English skills to provide the go-between for the sales team and design team. As Solutions Consultant you will write proposals when invited to tender as well as answer technical queries from customers who have already received proposals. You will need to have a background in electronics design to be able to handle the technicality of the proposal writing and the queries customers will ask.

* Review Customer enquiries from end users and the sales team
* Prepare bids and tenders for electronics projects
* Produce estimates of costs for component parts and labour time to give a finalised end-user price

Solutions Consultant / Bids Engineer - Skills and Abilities - Estimator / Electronic Engineering / Costings / Tender / Proposal / Electronics / Sales

* Be an adaptable engineer with an electronic engineering qualification
* Previous experience within electronics design
* Aptitude for writing bids and tenders (you don't need to behave done so already, but you need to want to!)
* Excellent Word skills (lots of Excel will be commonplace for component pricing)
