Sommelier
This independent restaurant offers a warm, relaxed neighbourhood atmosphere with around 48 covers, serving Italian home-style dishes designed for sharing, alongside a carefully curated wine list from the owner's own cellar.
As an experienced Sommelier you will be:
* Familiar with Italian wines and have great communication skills
* Working alongside the restaurant team and the Cellar, playing a key role in delivering a thoughtful and confident wine service
* Recommending wines and suggesting food pairings
* Assisting with wine list development, tasting notes, and seasonal updates
* Developing wine knowledge across the service team by leading tasting and briefing sessions
* Maintaining high standards of cellar organisation and storage, stock control and inventory
* Liaising with suppliers
Working basis:
* 40–42 hours per week
* Restaurant closed on Mondays and Tuesdays
* Immediate start
Salary and benefits:
* Salary circa £42,000
* Paid overtime
