SANZA Teaching Agency is delighted to be recruiting for an experienced and highly skilled SEMH Advisory Teacher to support primary and secondary schools across the borough of Redbridge for the summer term.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate practitioner with a strong background in Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs to make a meaningful impact across a range of educational settings.
The Role:
As an SEMH Advisory Teacher, you will work collaboratively with school leaders, SENCOs, and teaching staff to provide expert guidance, strategies, and interventions that support pupils with SEMH needs. You will play a key role in improving inclusive practice and promoting positive outcomes for vulnerable learners.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide specialist advice and support to primary and secondary schools
Model effective SEMH strategies and interventions in classroom settings
Support staff with behaviour management and inclusive practices
Deliver training and workshops for school staff
Contribute to assessments, planning, and review processes for pupils with SEMH needs
Work collaboratively with external agencies where appropriate
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
Significant experience working with children and young people with SEMH needs
A strong track record of improving outcomes for pupils with additional needs
Experience across both primary and/or secondary settings
Excellent communication, coaching, and advisory skills
The ability to build positive relationships with a range of stakeholders
