Tradewind Recruitment is working with a friendly and community-focused primary school in Bury seeking a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN).
The school has a strong SEND provision and is looking for a candidate who can help pupils develop confidence, communication skills, and engagement within the classroom environment.
Key responsibilities:
Delivering targeted speech and language interventions.
Supporting pupils during classroom lessons and small-group activities.
Reinforcing communication strategies recommended by specialists.
Promoting positive social interactions and language development.
Monitoring progress and contributing to pupil reviews.Requirements:
Experience supporting children with speech and language needs.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to adapt learning activities to meet individual needs.
A patient and encouraging approach.
Primary school experience preferred.The successful candidate will join a nurturing school where staff work collaboratively to ensure every child achieves success.
Pay: Higher rate of pay obtained through having Level 4 TA Qualfication
