Job Title: Sporty Teaching Assistant Location: NP26 (Caldicot) Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time Pay: Weekly Pay Start Date: ASAP Teaching Personnel are looking for a Sporty Teaching Assistant to support primary schools in the NP26 Caldicot area. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong interest in sport, coaching, or physical activity who are confident working in busy and energetic classroom environments. Sporty candidates often bring the resilience, energy and proactive attitude needed to support pupils who may struggle with focus, behaviour or emotional regulation. This role may involve supporting pupils in Learning Resource Bases (LRB), Special Resource Bases (SRB), or mainstream classrooms, helping children stay engaged and succeed in their learning. About the Role Supporting pupils across primary school age groups Working 1:1 with pupils who require additional support Assisting children with ALN/SEN needs Helping pupils regulate behaviour and stay engaged in lessons Encouraging positive behaviour through structure, consistency and activity Supporting teachers in maintaining a calm and productive classroom environment Ideal Candidates We welcome applicants who have experience in areas such as: Sports coaching Personal training / fitness Youth work Care work Behaviour support Psychology or sport-related studies Experience in schools is helpful but not essential. What matters most is having a “get up and go” attitude, confidence working with children, and the willingness to learn.
