💰 £42,000 - £44,000 per annum
⏰ Monday - Friday | 8:00am - 5:00pm (40 Hours)
We are currently seeking an experienced Static Mechanical Engineer (Multiskilled) to join a leading facilities management team at a prestigious site in Central London.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified engineer with strong building services experience to work within a professional maintenance team, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a high-profile commercial environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems.
* Diagnose faults and complete repairs to plant and equipment across the site.
* Maintain HVAC systems, heating, ventilation, gas appliances, steam plant and associated building services equipment.
* Undertake refurbishment, installation and minor project works.
* Support statutory testing, inspections and compliance requirements.
* Carry out PAT testing where required.
* Assist with contractor management and escort duties.
* Participate in a 24-hour on-call rota when required.
* Work independently or as part of a multi-skilled engineering team.
* Support site audits and ensure all health and safety procedures are adhered to.
Requirements
* NVQ Level 3 qualification (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
* Proven experience within commercial building maintenance or facilities management.
* Strong fault-finding and maintenance skills across mechanical and electrical systems.
* Experience working on HVAC, plant room equipment, heating and ventilation systems.
* Good understanding of health and safety regulations and statutory compliance.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
