Steel Worker

Red Recruitment are currently looking for a Steel Operative / Overhead Crane Operator, to work at our steel processing company based in the Dudley area of the West Midlands. Our client is a longstanding steel company going through a period of growth due to new contracts. This role will go permanent for the right candidate after a successful trial period. Duties include: * Operating overhead cranes to handle steel * Driving counterbalance FLTs * Assisting with loading / offloading steel on machine lines * Banding, packing and palletising stock Due to limited training, applicants must have previous exposure to overhead cranes. This position is working a 3-shift pattern, rotating weekly. * Mornings- 06:00 - 14:00 (Mon to Fri) * Afternoons: 14:00 - 22:00 (Mon to Thurs) / 14:00 - 18:00 (Fri) * 40 hours per week with paid breaks * Paying £12.21 on both shifts, rising to £12.71 in April, during training period
