Apply NowWe are looking for a reliable and organised Storeman to join our team. This is a varied, hands-on role that is essential to keeping our operations running smoothly by ensuring our engineers have the equipment and materials they need.
You'll be responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the stores, preparing work packs for engineers, handling deliveries, and supporting the movement of vehicles around the yard.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparing and issuing work packs, materials and equipment for engineers.
* Loading and unloading company vehicles safely and efficiently.
* Managing stock levels and maintaining an organised, tidy stores environment.
* Receiving, checking and storing deliveries.
* Carrying out regular stock checks and reporting shortages.
* Ensuring tools, equipment and materials are correctly stored and readily available.
* Shunting company vehicles around the yard as required.
* Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and following health and safety procedures at all times.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
* Reliable, proactive and able to work independently.
* Well organised with good attention to detail.
* Comfortable with manual handling and working in a busy yard and stores environment.
* A team player with a positive attitude.
* Able to prioritise tasks and manage their workload effectively.
Desirable Skills and Experience
The following would be advantageous, but are not essential:
* Forklift Truck (FLT) licence.
* HGV driving or vehicle shunting experience.
* Previous experience working in a stores, warehouse or logistics environment
