Structural Engineer

Structural Engineer Location: Exeter Salary: Competitive (DOE) A well-established and highly regarded structural and civil engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join their team due to a strong and varied project pipeline. Working alongside experienced engineers, you will be involved in a diverse range of projects across the private, commercial and public sectors, from structural surveys and investigations through to delivering structural solutions for complex and historic building projects. Key Responsibilities Structural design using commonly used construction materials and building forms Carrying out structural surveys and site inspections Producing structural calculations and technical reports Preparing drawings and sketches using AutoCAD and by hand Assisting with new client enquiries and preparing fee proposals Requirements BSc / BEng / MSc / MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering Minimum 4 years’ experience as a structural design engineer Strong understanding of structural behaviour and engineering principles Ability to apply creative and practical solutions to engineering problems Desirable Chartered or working towards chartership Experience with structural timber design Interest in historic buildings and conservation projects Interest in sustainable and energy-efficient building design This is an excellent opportunity to join a consultancy with a diverse workload, supportive team, and strong technical reputation
