Structural Engineer | Newton Abbot  We are working with a well-established and growing engineering consultancy in the South West, who are looking to appoint a Structural Engineer to join their expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with experience in structural design to take on project responsibility and contribute to a collaborative working environment. Role Overview As a Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering structural projects from concept through to completion. Key responsibilities include: Working on a variety of structural projects across the South West Acting as a point of contact on projects Managing design and delivery of structural schemes Undertaking hands-on design and design coordination Reviewing and checking designs produced by other engineers Supporting and mentoring junior team members Liaising with other disciplines within the consultancy Attending site meetings and inspections Communicating with clients, architects, contractors, and statutory authorities Candidate Requirements Degree qualified (BEng/MSc or equivalent) in Civil or Structural Engineering Minimum 2 years’ experience in a structural design consultancy Strong written and verbal communication skills Able to work independently and as part of a team Organised and able to manage projects to deadlines Desirable: Chartered Engineer status, or working towards Chartership (Institution of Structural Engineers / Institution of Civil Engineers) Full UK driving licence Package Competitive salary depending on experience 22 days annual leave + bank holidays, with option to buy more Company pension scheme Discretionary performance bonus Support towards Chartership BUPA Employee Assistance Programme Free onsite parking
