Student Support Assistant Work with Teaching Personnel – Start ASAP Rhondda Cynon Taf (RCT) Agency role – work across multiple schools Full-time (preferred) | Part-time considered £89.38 per day Ages supported: 3–19 Make a Real Difference Across a Variety of Schools Teaching Personnel is looking for enthusiastic, engaging and committed Student Support Assistants to work across a network of primary, secondary and specialist settings within RCT. As this is an agency role, you must be: Available in the mornings for last‑minute calls Happy to travel to a range of schools each week Comfortable adapting to different year groups, staff teams and learning environments If you love a role with variety and purpose, this is a brilliant chance to support learners who need it most. ✨ What You’ll Be Doing Your role will vary day‑to‑day depending on the school’s needs and can include: General Classroom Support Helping pupils access learning Supporting teachers during lessons Assisting with activities, routines and transitions SEN / ALN Support Working with pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH and other needs Helping with communication, regulation and engagement Behaviour Support Maintaining a calm, positive learning environment Supporting pupils with behavioural challenges 1:1 Support Providing personalised assistance for individual learners Helping pupils stay focused, confident and included This role spans ages 3 to 19, depending on the setting.
