Sub Agent - Structures

Carmichael UK is working with a leading Tier 1 contractor delivering major infrastructure works on the HS2 project. We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Sub Agent with structures experience to support the delivery of bridge and viaduct works across a key section of the project in Northamptonshire. This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure programmes and play a key role in delivering complex structural packages. The Role As Sub Agent, you will support the Project Manager in the planning and delivery of major structures works, ensuring activities are delivered safely, on programme, and in accordance with project specifications and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day delivery of bridge and viaduct construction works Supervise site engineers and coordinate subcontractor activities Ensure works are delivered in line with programme, quality, and safety requirements Oversee engineering activities including setting out, quality checks, and documentation Manage construction records including ITPs, inspections, and as-built documentation Liaise with the project management team, client representatives, and key stakeholders Support commercial and programme management of the works Requirements Proven experience as a Sub Agent within civil engineering or infrastructure projects Strong experience delivering structures works such as bridges, viaducts, or reinforced concrete structures Previous experience on major infrastructure or rail projects is highly advantageous HNC, HND, or Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline Strong leadership, coordination, and stakeholder management skills Right to work in the UK
