Sub Agent/Assistant Package Manager

Carmichael UK is working with a leading Tier 1 contractor delivering a major highways project in London. We are currently seeking a Sub Agent / Assistant Package Manager to support the delivery of key work packages on this high-profile infrastructure scheme.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Sub Agent or a Senior Engineer looking to step up into a package management role within a busy and well-established project team.

The Role

As Sub Agent / Assistant Package Manager, you will support the management and delivery of highways works, ensuring packages are delivered safely, on programme, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Support the delivery of highways work packages from planning through to completion

Assist in managing site teams including Engineers and subcontractors

Ensure works are delivered in line with programme, quality, and safety requirements

Coordinate site activities and interfaces across the project

Support programme tracking, reporting, and risk management

Oversee engineering activities including setting out, inspections, and documentation

Ensure compliance with project specifications and standards

Requirements

Experience as a Sub Agent, Section Engineer, or Senior Engineer within civil engineering or infrastructure

Strong background in highways or major infrastructure projects

Experience working with or for a Tier 1 contractor is highly desirable

HNC, HND, or Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline

Good understanding of site operations, programme management, and quality processes

Strong communication and organisational skills
