We're currently working with a well-established passive fire protection contractor who are looking to add an experienced Fire Door Installer to their team on a permanent basis.
They deliver fire door installation and remedial works across a range of commercial, government, education, and healthcare projects, and are continuing to grow due to a strong pipeline of secured work.
Due to the nature of the work the ability to work away is essential.
The Role
This is a mixed hands-on and supervisory position where you will be responsible for:
* Installing and fitting fire doors, frames, seals, and ironmongery
* Carrying out fire door remedial and upgrade works
* Inspecting fire doors to ensure compliance with regulations and specifications
* Supporting and supervising small teams on site when required
* Working from drawings, door schedules, and technical details
* Completing QA checks and site documentation accurately
* Ensuring all works meet fire safety and manufacturer standards
* Liaising with site teams, contractors, and other trades
What They’re Looking For
* Proven experience in fire door installation (essential)
* Strong understanding of fire door compliance and standards
* Ability to read drawings and technical information
* Supervisory experience or confidence leading installers (desirable)
* High attention to detail and quality-focused approach
* Good communication skills on site
* NVQ in Carpentry/Joinery or Passive Fire Protection (preferred)
* CSCS card (essential)
