Support Worker – Children’s Residential Care
7Ascot and surrounding areas | £12.71 – £13.50 per hour | Days & Nights
1Four1 Recruitment is currently recruiting experienced Support Workers to work within children’s residential care homes in the Ascot and surrounding areas.
We work with a number of well-established residential care providers supporting children and young people who require a safe, structured and supportive living environment. Due to ongoing staffing needs, we are looking for reliable and compassionate Support Workers and Care Assistants to support services across Ascot and surrounding areas.
This is a temporary opportunity offering flexible shifts including days and nights. The role is ideal for experienced care professionals who are confident supporting young people in residential care settings and working as part of a dedicated care team.
Key Responsibilities
• Support children and young people within a residential care setting
• Assist with daily routines including activities, meals and general wellbeing
• Provide emotional support and build positive, professional relationships with residents
• Promote independence, confidence and personal development
• Support behaviour management strategies where required
• Maintain accurate care notes and records
• Work closely with the wider care team to ensure a safe and supportive environment
• Follow safeguarding procedures and organisational policies
Requirements
• Previous experience working as a Support Worker, Care Assistant or Healthcare Assistant
• Experience working in children’s residential care or similar care settings
• Relevant training within care or support work
• Comfortable supporting young people with emotional and behavioural needs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate, patient and reliable approach to care
• Ability to work days and night shifts
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
• Right to work in the UK
